Shabby furnishings and vintage items

To get that shabby chic cottage look most of us love doesn't take a total makeover of your home.  It's just of few special pieces added here and there that makes a room feel more cosy.  White scuffed tables, pretty pillows, throws on the furniture, and lovely vignettes on the tables can make a room look totally different.  What is so wonderful about the shabby look is it doesn't have to be a new something made to look old.  It can be something old, worn, and a little rough that gives it that cottage look of picket fences and roses growing over an arbor.
